With a heavy heart I wish Cokes all the luck in his trail. he can play at that level , it must be the price we have to pay for a successful team fist Smithy now cokes ,we have to be honest we have one or two more who could play at a higher level please let it be with Bury.

Exciting news for Ben, I agree he can clearly play at a higher level. A colleague at work is a Colchester Utd season ticket holder, just checked their web site which says he was very impressive on left side of midfield in 1-1 draw for the Reserves last game of season.
note: Wroxham have a very quick right winger, perhaps after the FA Vase our scouts can have a look at him for next season.

“My awareness of Ben (Coker) has come from a contact and is something we have followed up. We’ll take it further if we think we should, but I’ll only take players if I think they are ready to go straight into the first team. I dpon’t want to take players on and develop them for a year because I don’t think we are big enough for that.”
Do we read into that that we may be keeping Ben? I would send him with good wishes- but selfishly rather see him at the Ram with us!

That's rubbish from Hoof-royd - proved because he can't afford to pay the going (division 3) rate for players who will go "straight into his first team" - hence journeyman striker Kevin Lisbie has been on loan from Ipswich rather than bought.
He probably needs to take a chance on talented versatile young players like Ben or get very lucky on his scouting missions elsewhere.
His biggest problem this season is that he isn't Paul Lambert which Ben Coker won't solve.

The attractive passing style of football under new manager John Ward will also suit - best of luck Ben. Fantastic opportunity. Looking forward to seeing the CU shirt on the clubhouse wall. My young lads still tell me Doctor Who plays number 3 for Bury Town. I will break it to them gently... ;D
