Great day out, with the lads putting in an excellent performance!
We really seem to be a better side when playing better opposition, they seem to allow us to play our football and then suffer the consequence.
The whole team was excellent today, but special mention must go to Liam Barrett who ran and ran for the cause playing mainly as a lone striker, with Sam Reed injured and to Marcus Garnham who made a couple of top drawer stops.
Dont care who we get in the next round as long as it is at home, prior arrangement and all that, but would love it to be Stevenage or Cambridge United.
Reading the Non League Paper today it would seem the ultrabias homer Les Vance was at a differnet match.
Firstly thinking that left back Ryan Lakes second booking was harsh, but moreover for barely accepting we scored two goals and making no mention of the many chances we created. Oh well we were there and saw what happened.
We certainly paid London prices £3.20 a pint, £3.50 a cheeseburger and as Springfield said £1.50 for a cuppa, but nothing could dampen our enthusiam.
Come on the blues

After the win yesterday against Hampton that has put Bury up to £11,300 in the FA TROPHY, add that to the FA CUP winnings of £29,500 , Bury have won in total £40,800 plus the share of receipts from the FA competitions so far this season. If Bury do win their next game in the FA TROPHY that will equal another record this season in Bury Town's history. Now that is impressive

Could somebody just clarify, please, what's the furthest we've ever reached in the FA Trophy and when? Thanks.

I think we reached the second round proper in 1970-71 when we were defeated by Hereford United. Another chance for a bit of history??
