Well it seems the fairweather gang are less happy than they were.
Strange that seeing that BTFC is in remarkable shape with a former England U21 international leading the attack and our well established team putting together a series of decent performances to hoist us up to fifth in the league.
What do these people want? Another 100 points this season? We are course to consolidate our Ryman Premier status with a chance of the play-offs. Rather excellent from my viewpoint.
Must get behind that goal and sing a bit. Trevor is right. Sing your hearts out for the lads and make the difference. Looking forward to the big match. this afternoon

Rather harsh, but there we go.

By the fairweather gang I think Bigmike means people who are perhaps new to posting on the forum as he is surely not suggesting he knows how long people have been watching Bury at the Ram for!

OK, so today was poor, but people need to remember where we are and where we have come from. We are still in a good league position and have won more games than we have lost. With the current injury problem we have, today was always on the cards, but it is now that supporters are needed the most. We had another great crowd, and we need that every week.
I personally did not hear any negative comments at the end, the talk was of the game at Sudbury on Tuesday. The best thing we can all do now is support the team, and realise that the aim at the start of the season was to make sure that we are in the same position this time next year, that has not changed.
In view of the negative posts that have been written about the club on here during the week, we have decided to make some changes.
Trevor will now be providing a weekly update (on an agreed day each week) on all the playing matters. This will hopefully keep everyone updated with what is going on.
There will also be plenty of news regarding the ground move by the end of the month and I will try to keep the website updated with the progress.
I hope to see everyone at Sudbury on Tuesday getting behind the team and hopefully we will see a win.

Chris, I think the posts have proved to be constructive ,rather than negative, as Trevor's weekly update seems to be an excellent move and has come about as a result of these posts. This would seem to be a good example of the club listening to supporters views and responding to them and the officers of the club should be commended for this. Perhaps "fairweather fans" have a purpose after all !! See you Tuesday.

Flask, I don't Mike's comment was aimed at anyone in particular. The club has many different types of fans. Some have been here for 20 years, some have been here for 20 games, everyone matters.
See you Tuesday

Afternoon
Local weekly papers that have to be purchased, especially Free press group are now outdated.
"Andy Gould has for several years provided us and West Suffolk College with the cream of young talent in the area and although lately he felt a need for something different, I met with him last Monday when he said his heart with always be with Bury and despite being offered a position with Needham he wouldn't be taking it."
I thought Mr Gould was part of the other separate club in Bury, Team Bury FC ? Why does he feel the need to speak to the BTFC chairman?
Work permitting see you Tuesday.
Gavin

I`ve only been coming to the Ram for a few years, and during this short time the crowds have more than doubled, including a noticeable increase in younger fans. This is an inevitable result of the success the club has enjoyed. There`s bound to be a few of the `newer` fans that demand and expect success because this is what they are used to (maybe these are the handful of fans that occasionally boo when things aren`t going our way?) Unfortunately the demand for instant gratification seems to blight the game at all levels these days. Russell and his team have achieved huge success over the years by implementing a considered, long term plan. So, to the `new,` or `fairweather` fans, although your support should be welcomed with open arms, please please get behind the team at all times. We can`t win 6-0 every week!

Evening, just wondering.

Gavin - everyone ignored this post last week, so why have you bothered to raise it again?
I cannot answer the question, but I'm pretty sure that my season ticket would get me in to Team Bury games - so although it's a totally different playing squad I don't think it's a completely separate club.
What does it matter anyway?

Gavin, he was a director of Bury Town Football Club (1995) Limited and therefore spoke to the chairman of that company before leaving. Now go and worry about your own clubs problems.

Hi Russell/all
Yes, i'm sure that will happen.
I read Fridays EADT article earlier today, even sadder after, didn't realise the connection between other recent deaths.
I have been told that plans are in place for Tuesdays home game.
Thoughts with all connected.
