Today we have heard the sad news that the daughter of one of our loyal supporters has died in a car crash. Emma Holloway was returning from a training session at AFC Sudbury, where she played for their ladies team, when she was involved in a crash just outside Bury. Our thoughts are with Neil and the rest of the Holloway family at this sad time.

A Quote from Garry Barker, BTFC Youth secretary.
It’s with great sorry that I learnt today that Emma Holloway died in a fatal car accident on her way back from football training.
I have known Emma and her family since she was 6 when she used to play football for Hardwick primary school with my son.
Even then she was a revelation with her footballing skills, causing many an opposition Dad to shout she’s only a girl. (little did they know that she could play and was Hardwick primary schools secret weapon)
Emma joined Bury Town Youth Girls 2005 – 2006 season and was with us until the 2006 – 2007 season. As we did not have a team carrying on for her age group she moved on to Sudbury AFC in 2008.
She is a great lost to us all and to the football community as she was a beacon of all that was right and good about the younger generation. She was a massive prospect for girls now ladies football.
She will be missed.
For those who don’t know her sister Charlotte plays for Jayne’s team in the under 17’s Girls.
Our hearts go out to Charlotte and her family.
